Featuring RAD ballet student, Sophie Rebecca and spoken word artist, Ash Palmisciano, their stories entwine in an emotional performance, illustrating the trials and tribulations in the path to self-acceptance.
Sophie Rebecca is the first openly transgender ballet dancer to pass a Royal Academy of Dance Examination, she was assigned male at birth and took her RAD exam as a woman.
Sophie worked closely with choreographer, Lynne Reucroft-Croome to choreograph The Lady That Dances to represent stages of her life and the prominent moments from her journey.
