Nurturing Trancestry: A Weekend Celebration of Visibility in the Making



In honor of Trans Day of Visibility Otherness Archive programs two trans masculine centered films: Boys in the Backyard by Annette Kenerly and Morisha Moodley’s film, commes tous les garçon which will show twice on Sunday March 31st 3:30-6pm for FREE (register your ticket via the link)

Two San Francisco FTM transexuals sit in their backyard and discuss their daddy/boy relationship, transgender life, love, tattoos and tomato plants.



COMMES TOUS LES GARÇONS, Morisha Moodley United Kingdom 2021


commes tous les garçon, asks what it means to be like all the boys. An assemblage of animation, found footage and personal archives pieces together queer identities from myriad perspectives.



Film Access:


These films are all spoken in English and unfortunately Boys in the Backyard does not have subtitles due to limited resources, we appreciate your understanding with this.



Venue Access:


We strive to provide a physical environment that is accessible to all visitors. This includes:


  • Offering ground-level, step-free access to our spaces.
  • Offering elevator access to our project space located on the first floor.
  • Providing accessible restrooms for all genders on every floor of our venues.
  • Providing folding chairs or other forms of seating at every venue.
  • Welcoming assistive animal at our spaces and events.
  • Designating drop-off zones and parking spots within the Design
  • District for visitors with disabilities on Phoenix Avenue which is 160 meters away.
