On Transembodiment (II) STIGMATA x Otherness Archive

Sun Jul 21 2024
Atlas Cinema, London

A screening of films from Otherness Archive, curated by STIGMATA’s founder M Lissoni, centering practices of trans embodiment and auto ethnography.

The programme explores themes of gender disruption through religion, spirituality, and ritual performance, offering a transnational perspective. It also delves into the ideas of freedom and survival found within community and myth. The films chosen reflect the themes of the upcoming research journal "The Scar as Archive," edited and published by STIGMATA, which will launch in October 2024.

All proceeds from the screening will be donated in support of Palestine: The Ghassan Abu Sittah Children's Fund

Sunday 21st July, 3-5pm, Atlas Cinema, SW9 7FA
