 is a poetic examination of how trauma reverberates through the years. A voice speaks, sometimes sings, sometimes fails to say. It is trying to address the points at which various confusions meet and link, in an articulated chain or a ripple. When a discussion of trauma isn’t centred on its origin, the aftermath can play out.


Here, the water facilitates a looking across time, mirrors and windows, as well as gaps and blank spots. A sort of portal, upon which bodily evidence materialises. The voice is sense-making, it maps and unpicks, it looks to teenagers, to suburbia, to middle England, to queer futures, to healing.


 exists both as a kind of haunting, and as a means of dealing with being haunted.

Compliance

Dust, a split-personality cyborg of fluid gender, zooms through time and space in search of their own memories and a sense of understanding. They travel from the Planet of White Dust where war is constant, to the Planet of Blood and Swelling, a hybrid of their father's body.

Dandy Dust

A psychiatrist shares the stories of a person exploring cross-dressing (Glen or Glenda) and another individual with characteristics of both sexes (Alan or Anne). The film is a semi authobiogrpahy of the director who is also portraying the main character.

The film is generally progressive for 1953. However, it does contain problematic views.

Glen or Glenda 

 looks at the stories of three lesbian couples from the '60s to the present (2000), creating a dramatic history of the modern lesbian experience.


Vanessa Redgrave, in a quietly powerful performance, leads the first story as a widow in 1961, loosing her partner and being forced to move out of the home she created with her lover. More than 10 years later, another lesbian moves into the house, which is now the home to a feminist collective. Oscar-nominee Chloë Sevigny (Boys Don't Cry) is the butch young paramour who falls for femme Michelle Williams (Dawson's Creek), in this story directed by Martha Coolidge (Valley Girl) and written by the Sichel Sisters (All Over Me). The final instal­lation, directed by Anne Heche, stars Ellen DeGeneres and Sharon Stone as the house's next occupants. Set in the present (2000), the couple faces the pressures of having a baby — the tribulations of finding semen and putting it to use.

If These Walls Could Talk 2

The story of a village girl who is kidnapped on the eve of her wedding, raped by each of her kidnappers, then forced into prostitution. She escapes, and, traumatized by her experience, is taken care of by a transvestite whom she comes to love.

Kyiv, 2023. Two friends return from a party and stay at the home of one of them. It would seem like cozy evening but suddenly the heroes are caught in an air raid. Within the air raid happening the two guys explore their closeness.
