Girl King

An experimental short film inspired by the trans-forming Mesopotamian deity Ishtar. Five guests – who are gender non-conforming, trans or non-binary – hold a feast in a fictionalised English country garden. The work grapples with mythologies and histories through reinterpreting and imagining new visual and sonic worlds.

ISHTAR

 is an experimental meditation on gender queerness and the blurred lines between influence, desire and obsession. The docu-fictional film revisits an unnamed subject’s childhood memory, resurfacing the nascent fantasies that once captured their imagination. What can we learn from our formative fascinations? Where in our mind do they live? How do they re-emerge?

Mooncake

Dorothy's a film director and a bit of a loser. One night, fueled up on Heineken, she lets loose on her script when a call from her producer kills her buzz: enough with the queer comedies, it's time to start making mainstream films. To avoid sinking to the deepest depths of despair, Dorothy seeks comfort in her favorite TV show Romy the Vampire Slayer. Unfortunately, her own demons show up.

A reimagining of Pasolini’s TEOREMA (1968), 

 follows a refugee who washes up in a small suitcase on the banks of the River Thames in London. Arriving at the house of an upper-class family, he seduces each and every family member, depicted in explicit sex scenes.
