A stranded dreamer, a bored typist and a defiant transqueerian space captain attempt to rediscover joy in a fantastical #StopAsianHate music video propelled by dance and animation. Outrageously underrepresented in the UK arts, 87% of the creative team were East and/or Southeast Asian or South Asian. Over half were LGBTIQA+, with nearly a third identifying as trans/non-binary/genderqueer. The team included neurodivergent and disabled artists. From the pain of coronaracism and a lifetime of bigotry and invisibility comes this beautiful, fantastical, outspoken, and epic voyage of truth - infusing vivid dance solos, dreamy piano and quirky animated interjections! The track was written by The Mollusc Dimension, a "transqueerian" British Chinese artist and directed by Darius Shu and the artist. Inspired by #StopAsianHate campaigns, solidarity placards by community members and allies also make an appearance, as do paper-mâché "cishet norms" and K-pop-inspired intensity.

BLOOM

, directed by Giada Bossi, the protagonist levitates from the bedroom to the club in a surreal narrative. The song’s house beat initially mimics a muffled heartbeat before the stillness erupts into a joyous club track just as the scene shifts to the dancefloor.


The video ends back in the bedroom after an explosive psychedelic sequence that leaves the viewer wondering whether what transpired was a dream or reality.


 is taken from Milan-based L I M’s debut album GLOWING, which tells the artist’s personal story of self-discovery, and was written after a long period of “work, healing and transformation ”. The album was written alongside L I M’s longtime friend and collaborator Stefano Riva. “We worked for two years and a half about this glittering revelation, we choose to unfold the journey of discovery, my identity and the collective experience linked to it,” L I M writes “I decided to fully embrace my identity and body and to everyone who can relate to this process I send you all my unconditionally love and support.”


The video was directed by Giada Bossi, an Italian director whose approach "combines storytelling with an aesthetic approach to documentary and narrative. It is an ode to transformation, a current “coming of age” story about
self-discovery and embracement, about body and identity, talking about L I M and many others going through the same path,” Giada Bossi says of the video’s concept. “Dreams and reality merge, in a journey that has to face others: it is just through the support of people around, that the protagonist dives into himself to embrace his essence.” GLOWING is released on February 18, 2022 on La Tempesta Dischi. The video features couples and individuals listening the song First Day of My Life by Bright Eyes on headphones presumably for the first time. In 2006 it received a special recognition from GLAAD for its inclusivity. Notable to mention - it features a group of lesbians, gender non-confirming people and trans sweetheart Daniel Sea with their then partner Bitch aka Capital B.

The song itself came out in 2005, however, the official video available on YouTube right now is from 2006.

With its DYI punk aesthetics, the video for Diddle My Skittle is a good representation of Peaches’ early work. In this one, the singer, dressed in pink shinny leggings and a t-shirt, creates a ballsack-like apparatus that she puts in her leggings before heading downtown. As she walks in the crowded streets of the city, the sack eventually breaks but Peaches keeps on dancing, her prosthetic balls falling down her legs. We can also hear Canadian folk-rock singer Feist on this track. She is credited under the pseudonym Bitch Lap Lap.

My name is Shea Diamond, Singer/Songwriter based in NYC by way of Flint, MI. I was born into a gender role that I did not accept & I didn’t feel like myself. Desperate to find the financial means to transition to my true gender, I committed a crime in 1999 & was sentenced to 10 years in a men's prison. While incarcerated, I found a community that shared my trans experience - it was there where I found my voice. I began writing “I Am Her” as a statement to a world that said I shouldn't exist. I wrote it as an anthem for all those that felt shunned for simply being who they were. In 2009 I was released from prison. Shortly after my release, I moved to New York City where I found a studio to record “I Am Her” and the means to create a video for my song.

We hiked a bridge to nowhere and at the end were metal locks scratched with names to symbolize eternal love. We gazed at a vale in the middle of forest mountains with a river vortex flowing to nourish the four corners of the farming town: Negra (so-called Blanca), Murcia, Spain with its abundant lemons, grapes, olives, and oranges. Down below were dogs, baby sharks, ducks, butterflies, and murmurations.

 is a tale honoring the world building created when moments of reciprocal, trusting, and sacred love for our lovers and the lands we protect & steward are prioritized and fought for.

 contains field recordings of our immersion during our residency at Centro Negra with AADK Spain: the church bell that rings every hour, the 2022 New Years countdown, parades, farms, climbing the top of Valle de Ricote, and the industrial dam at the center of Negra.

“War Call” is the debut music video of Mizz June

A call to mobilization for all listening, “War Call” is the debut music video of NYC based trans hip hop artist Mizz June. 

Mizz June, the protege of luminary black transwomen Octavia St. Laurent and Miss Major Griffin-Gracy felt the need to address the current state of affairs for transwomen. Specifically those in her direct community, Black and Latin@ transwomen. The murders at the hands of trans amorous men, lack of supporting trans lives from activists within the black/POC communities, and hateful messaging against trans communities by the current governmental legislation created a sense of urgency for this song and video.

War Call

A nightmare sequence from the musical production "White Lies," a musical theater piece that debuted at the National Queer Arts Festival in June 2013. It examines the interpersonal impacts of racism and white Supremacy in queer community.

White Man's Burden

I made this video just after my top surgery and it was the first time I had taken off my compression vest for that amount of time, with my collaborator who is currently raising funds for their top surgery. 

 was the last thing I made under that name and touches on the feelings and life of being trans masc.
